Meet Simon, our Executive Head Chef
Simon Hellier joined the Amadeus team based at the ICC Birmingham in 1991 from the Luxury cruise liner the QE2. Over the years, he has dedicated his time to the company, working his way up the ranks until he was deservedly named Executive Head Chef in 2011.Read more
High standards are the norm at the ICC, with catering excellence being applied to all aspects of a meal, from the individual ingredients and the cooking methods, to the presentation of the food and even the plates that the food is served on. The combination of all of these things makes for some outstanding dishes served up at our events.
Going above and beyond
We believe that it’s better to innovate, not imitate. The smallest of food items can become a big talking point when they are given a dash of innovation. Even the standard canape is anything but standard at the ICC.
Although the kitchen is their home, our team of Chefs love to get out of the kitchen every now and then and join the event. Adding a little theatre to an event, regardless of the time of day is a great experience for delegates, and lets them be served food fresh and direct from the chefs themselves.
It’s of the utmost importance that we believe in the food that we serve to our guests. That’s why our Chefs work hard to source the finest ingredients from the best suppliers in the country, using local producers wherever possible.
