The ICC Birmingham is proactive in adapting to the changing market and to developing the events and conference industry. We are a leading member of the following industry organisations:
ICCA – International Congress and Convention Association - represents the main specialists in organising, transporting and accommodating international meetings and events, and comprises 900 member companies and organisations in 85 countries worldwide. The ICC Birmingham is a leading player in the UK and Ireland Chapter of ICCA and hosted the ICCA Summer Debate in 2013.
AIPC – the International Association of Congress Centres - the industry association for professional convention and exhibition centre managers worldwide. As well as being a past member of the Board of Directors, the ICC is currently a member of the teaching faculty of the AIPC Academy.
Eventia – is recognised as the official trade body for the events and live marketing industry that produce vital research papers and networking opportunities. The ICC joined Eventia in 2012 and have since been awarded silver and Bronze in the Eventia Awards 2013 for Event Venue of the Year (over 500 capacity) and Venue Event Team of the Year. The ICC also hosted the Summer Eventia in June 2013.
ABPCO – Association of British Professional Conference Organisers mission is to develop and enhance the professional status of conference and event organisers and increase the recognition given to its members and to ABPCO as the leading representatives of the profession in the British Isles.
