When did you join the ICC?

November 2013

What do you love most about working at the ICC?

I love walking into the building every day and looking at this amazing venue and just thinking WOW, I work here. The other thing I love is the team of people we work with, everyone has the customer at the forefront of their mind and everyone helps everyone which I think is great!

What would be your dream event to work on? 

Ooh this is a tough one, I’m not sure. If it was absolute dream event then I’d say probably a concert at Utilita Arena Birmingham, with a huge superstar like Justin Bieber!

What do you think makes the ICC special?

The one thing that makes the ICC special is the people and passion that each and every person has for the venue and the client.

What is your ICC event highlight?

Another tough question, but I’d probably say working on the Conservative Party Conferences and looking after their drink receptions in the art gallery in our Mall.

The people and venue development. We’re always on the lookout for a new and interesting way to make your event unique.

What would be your dream event to work on?

I’d love to work on an Olympics Opening or Closing ceremony. What an occasion!

It might sound cheesy but it’s true – it’s the people that make this venue so special.

I had the opportunity to meet Prince many years ago, it was an incredible experience.

Anthony Joshua’s birthday party

That it can make fantastic events look so simple and easy to deliver!

What is your ICC event highlight?

Bit of a theme here, but it would be meeting Anthony Joshua on his ‘Evening with Anthony Joshua’ event and also the ‘Evening with Floyd Mayweather’ – what an entourage!
