 We spoke to Cameron Botterill from the Entrepreneurs Circle about his experience working with our Fully Connected team...

1. Why did you decide to use the Fully Connected team over companies previously used?

Honestly, we were fed up. We’d used exhibition companies before and it was the same story every time - late setups, poor communication, endless chasing, and that constant, underlying stress of “is this actually going to get done properly?”

With the ICC, we’d already worked together for over a decade. They’d consistently been reliable, proactive and helpful across every event we’d run there. So the thinking was simple - if we put the entire exhibition into their hands, we eliminate the weakest link.

Add to that the fact they were incredibly competitive on price and brought genuine creative flair to the table - not just “we’ll build what you ask for” but “here’s how to make this better” - and it became a very easy decision.

2. What benefits did you find during the planning stages and build/set up?

The biggest win was simplicity.

Having a single point of contact who could coordinate everything removed a huge amount of friction. No juggling suppliers, no back-and-forth between contractors, no playing middleman.

Because it’s all within the ICC, they could just get things done.

Electrics? Sorted.
Risk assessments? Sorted.
Logistics? Handled.

We didn’t have to chase, check or coordinate - which, if you’ve ever run a large event, you’ll know is where most of the stress comes from.

On top of that, they brought real depth of experience. They weren’t starting from scratch - they could draw on years of events, ideas, and what actually works in that space. That made the whole planning process faster, smarter and far more creative than we’re used to.


3. Overall, what were your experiences of Fully Connected and were your standards met?

We went into this as one of their early clients, so yes - there was a bit of anxiety in the beginning. But by the time the event came around, any doubt had completely gone.

On the day itself, they were exceptional. Not “good for a new service” - genuinely one of the best event teams we’ve ever worked with. And we’ve run a lot of events.

Dan, in particular, was outstanding. Calm, in control, across everything, and just quietly making things happen without drama or noise - which is exactly what you want when the pressure is on.

Standards weren’t just met - they were exceeded tenfold.

We would only consider using Fully Connected moving forward, rather than go back to using a traditional exhibition company after this.
