ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOL AND COLLEGE LEADERS SIGNS WITH ICC BIRMINGHAM UNTIL 2022

Having first hosted their annual conference at the ICC in 2017, the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) has confirmed its return to Birmingham until 2022 – marking six consecutive years at the premier conference and meetings venue.

Welcoming 1300 delegates across two days in March of 2019 – 2022, the event will bring together the leading names in education from across the globe.  A mix of conference and keynote presentations will utilise the vast flagship space of the Hall One auditorium, which over the last two years, has hosted ASCL keynotes from some of the world’s most prestigious speakers including Malala Yousafzai, Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Tim Peake.

A 95-strong exhibition in Hall Three plus an additional 30 optional seminars will also take place across the venue each year.

Organisers decided to renew their contract with the ICC, having had phenomenally positive feedback from delegates of the 2017 and 2018 events.  Kcarrie Valentine, Director of ASCL Professional Development Services said: “Our members were especially pleased with the accessible location of the ICC, right in the heart of Birmingham city centre, and the professionalism of their event hosts.  As an organiser, the flexibility of the venue was - and continues to be - of paramount importance to us.  The layout of the venue allows us to achieve exactly what we want for the event each year, and this teamed with the high service levels makes the ICC the perfect venue for us.”

ASCL membership continues to grow, with organisers anticipating and expansion of the event and the usage of more hall space beyond 2022.
