Triple win for ICC | February 2007
Love was in the air for The ICC this February, as the Birmingham venue won yet another two awards for being the best in the business.
Leading trade publication, Meetings and Incentive Travel magazine awarded The ICC ‘Best UK Conference Centre’ for the third year running, in addition to ‘Best Conference and Banqueting Staff.’ Conference organisers and readers of the publication voted for their most loved UK venues.
The ICC received the awards at the industry’s annual ceremony, the Meetings and Incentive Travel Awards, on Monday 19th February at The Novotel, Hammersmith, London.
Geoff Fenlon, general manager, ICC, who attended the awards, said, “What a fantastic start to the year. When I joined the company five weeks ago I was amazed at the high standard of the operation here and my every expectation has been surpassed. What is most gratifying about these awards is that it is customers who voted for them. These awards are testament to our incredible employees and our great venue, and I want to personally congratulate everyone at The ICC who dedicate their time and passion, day in day out to deliver outstanding conferences and events, and make our clients return again and again.”
Earlier this month The ICC won “Best Place to work in Hospitality’ by leading catering publication ‘Caterer and Hotelkeeper’. The food and beverage team took the accolade for ‘Best Place to Work’ in the individual unit category, designed to identify attractive employers to potential employees in the early stages of the recruitment process.
It was also named the UK’s premier purpose-built venue by readers of Conference & Incentive Travel in November 2006.
