The ICC wins marketing award
An innovative marketing and planning CD has won The ICC, Birmingham a Meetings Industry Marketing Award.

As well as presenting video clips and animated 3-D plans, the interactive CD contains a comprehensive planning function that provides everything a conference organiser needs. From order forms and checklists to maps and high-resolution images, the CD is designed as the meeting planner's friend.

Nick Waight, The ICC's director of conference sales, said: "We are delighted with this recognition for what we set out to achieve with the interactive CD. We wanted to innovate, and to take the medium a big step further on from the way it has previously been used. Far more than simply an electronic brochure, this is state-of-the-art and of practical use.

"The judges' assessment recognised the CD for achieving its objectives, in a comprehensive and easy-to-use style. We also know that meeting planners themselves are finding it just as helpful."

The CD was devised for The ICC by TMX Newmedia and launched earlier this year.
