The ICC has been named among the cleanest buildings in the UK. 2 November 2004
The venue claimed the national award for public buildings in The 2004 Building Cleanability Awards, which examine building design, construction and management while recognising the cost benefits associated with cleaning friendly buildings.

Paul Jenkins, ICC Building Manager, and Francis Carolan of ISS, who operate the cleaning contract, received the award at the ceremony, which took place at London’s Guildhall.

The Awards are run in association with The British Cleaning Council with further sponsorship provided by The British Institute of Cleaning Science and The Cleaning and Support Services Association.

Stephen Wright, Awards Chairman, said: "These Awards are designed to focus attention on the important relationship between building design, material usage and cleaning effectiveness."
